Children's Wellness Center Lighting Design

Using a given CAD Model, I was challenged to create innovative lighting installations for a children's wellness center. In order to help lessen symptoms of Post Intensive Care Syndrome, one must design to bring about feelings of peace, optimism, cheer, and connection.  

By utilizing the sky, something people live under and see each day, as the main inspiration for lighting in the wellness center, each bulb will bring the sense of joy and wonderment we have every time one looks up.  

The universal nature and familiarity with these colors and sights will make this facility feel less foreign and daunting. Illusions to the sky will also allow for a connection to the beauty of the natural world, juxtaposing the sterile air of most healthcare facilities.
